Chalk Paint in the Garden

Changing your pot color freshens up your patio the same way new throw pillows transform a room. You can never have too many pots. Or throw pillows. When asked, 9 out of 10 men probably disagree with my pillow opinion. So don’t ask.

I loved the dripping Quick Silver Dichondra against the black pot. But when the black factory finish wore off I was ready for a change. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint, Old White. I just washed all the spiders and dirt off with a brush and water and let it dry before painting. No other special preparation. In the new white pot, I switched to the dark foliage of sweet potato vine, Ipomoea. I think this variety was ‘Sweet Caroline Sweetheart Purple’. The foliage in the pot with the glass balls is Angel Vine.
